It just might be the toughest challenge you ever face.
When I was a kid in high school I had to work three summers to have a $1000 balance in my bank account. Yes, it took me three years to accumulate a stash of a thousand bucks! I bet when you think back you probably were in a similar situation; lots of time and not much money. And, as I ponder on this circumstance in my early years, that may have been the hardest thousand dollars I have ever earned.
I worked eight hours a day, in the summer sun, laying sod and spreading loam with a shovel and a wheelbarrow. It was hard and dirty work. It was agonizing for me to build up my savings: so time-consuming. The financial progress was slow. As I think back on it now, those were some of the toughest dollars I ever earned. But, it was one step toward my eventual millionairehood. It was a tough step, but a step I completed nonetheless. As I got older, more experienced, and more smarts; future dollars came easier.
Now think about this quote attributed to Lau Tzu, a Chinese philosopher. He is highly regarded as the founding father of Taoism:
