Drives a $1000 car.
I’m going to be honest. It’s hard to be different from everyone else. It’s not easy. But, in my case at least, it is profitable.
I know this will sound strange, but I have to continually remind myself that no one really cares about the kind of car I drive, whether it be a Rolls Royce or a rusted-out Honda Civic. Eleanor Roosevelt said it best,
“You wouldn’t worry so much about what others think of you if you realized how seldom they do.”
There is a real benefit, at least in my case, to be different. This advantage is summarized by Jim Rohn (a quote I have used in my writing twice in the last two days). He said,
“Walk away from the 97%. Don’t use their vocabulary. Don’t use their excuses. Don’t use their method of drift and neglect…. [They] won’t even take the time to refine their philosophy for a better life. WALK AWAY, and join the 3%! Take charge of your own life…. Change it all. [And, once you change] you’ll never go back to the old ways.”
As I write this I have just realized that I have walked away from the 97%. Honestly, I just figured this out! Wow, I’m going to keep writing if I keep getting flashes of insight, nuggets of gold, like this! My car is just one example of how I have walked away. I am richer than 97% of…
