Give Your Bank the Financial Finger

It’s a little nasty… but ever so satisfying.

Max Mask, BSc, MBA.

Generally, I like banks. They serve a wonderful purpose in our marketplace.

Here are just a few of the reasons why I have a fondness for banks. They…

  • cut their lawn in the summertime.
  • remove snow from their sidewalks in the winter.
  • clean and polish their doorknobs.
  • wash and polish their marble flooring.
  • clean their windows — they sparkle.
  • give Christmas bonuses (to some of their employees).
  • give out credit cards to pretty much anyone who wants one.
  • listen, and I mean really listen, when you tell them you want a new car.
  • smile when you come up to the counter to make a Visa cash advance. Imagine, they are smiling when they give us cash. Let’s give them some credit for that.
  • they bend over backward to help when you want a new camper complete with a water bed and attached mirror ball with laser lighting.
  • they are a prolific employer. “There are 1,809,138 people employed in the Commercial Banking industry in the US as of 2021”, according to ibisworld.com.
