Are We Stewards Of Our Dreams?
I affirm— yes.
I bumped into the most amazing quote. It is long, sorry. I felt it a disservice to you, my dear reader, to cut it short. Dr. Price Pritchett, the author of the astounding volume, You Squared, said something that has intrigued me since I heard it. He said, in regards to our hopes, dreams, and aspirations, the following:
“They live in your quiet and desperate longings. They live in the big ambitions you carry in your heart. Even in your everyday desires that seem unrealistic or out of reach.
I want you to think about possibilities differently for a minute. Possibilities are merely ideas. But they are divine inspirations searching for some mortal soul who will give them a chance, a fighting chance, to become fully realized. They’re ethereal gifts of the Gods that want you, or somebody [like you], to take them home, raise them, and help them be fully lived.
You need to indulge the possibilities that bubble up, uninvited, in your thinking. Entertain them, or more promisingly, let them entertain you. Let them dance and sing for you, even if you perceive them to be too absurd or very difficult, or simply not right for you.
Consider the notion that possibilities come into your thinking on purpose. That they are considering you as a candidate to be their host. Could it be…
